There are many seasons in life.

Childhood. Adolescence. Adulthood. Parenthood. Grandparenthood.

There Is No Rehearsal

Children don't get another first childhood. There isn't a second chance to be five, or three, or eight.

There is only this season. This laugh. This conversation. This bedtime story. This walk to the park. This phase where they ask "why?" a hundred times before lunch.

One day...

Those moments will quietly become memories, not because we failed to hold onto them but because childhood was always meant to grow.

That is both the beauty and the heartbreak of watching children become who they are meant to be.

We Don't Need to Hurry

The world often encourages children to grow faster. To achieve sooner. To move on to the next stage.

Fowers don't bloom because we rush them. Rivers don't flow more beautifully because we push them.

Children deserve the same patience. They deserve time to play. To imagine. To wonder. To rest. To be delightfully, wonderfully little.

Childhood isn't an obstacle on the way to adulthood. It is a beautiful season in its own right.

Treasure the Everyday

The greatest treasures of childhood rarely arrive wrapped. They arrive wearing muddy shoes. Covered in paint. Holding another drawing. Asking another impossible question. Laughing so hard they can barely breathe. Asking for one more cuddle before bed. The extraordinary has always hidden inside the ordinary.

Sometimes we simply need to slow down enough to notice.

A Childhood Worth Remembering

Imagine your child looking back one day not remembering a perfect childhood.

But remembering one filled with warmth. Curiosity. Safety. Laughter. Conversations. Traditions. Grace.

Watch them for a moment. Notice the way they play. The questions they ask. The joy they find in something wonderfully ordinary. Then quietly remind yourself,

They are only this little once.
